… seeing the film Man on Wire last night, in which French wirewalker Philippe Petit did his eight crossings — on a tightrope wire — of the space between the late World Trade Center towers in 1974. The cloud part comes in because it looked like Petit was walking on the clouds. This film tells Petit’s story and underscores what an astonishing act it was for him to wirewalk between those towers.
